Ramgarh Police Investigates Fraudulent Withdrawal of Rs 25 Lakh

Ramgarh: An FIR against a supplier has been registered with Ramgarh police station following a written complaint filed by district welfare officer against fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 25 lakh with fake official letters communicated to the bank and faking the signature of an official of the district welfare department accounts with a bank. Sidharth Shankar Choudhary, district welfare officer (DWO), Ramgarh said his department has received Rs 94 lakh for welfare schemes of which Rs 24.81 lakh was withdrawn during the fiscal year 2023-24 by a supplier identified as Amjad Hussain. No arrest has been made so far.
