Massive Fire Erupts at Plastic Manufacturing Plant in Ranchi, No Casualties Reported

Ranchi: A massive fire broke out at a plastic manufacturing plant in Ormanjhi, on the outskirts of Ranchi, on Friday, damaging properties worth several lakhs. However, no casualty was reported in the incident, police said. Ormanjhi police station in-charge Anil Tiwari said that the fire broke out due to an electric short circuit. “Around 10 firefighting vehicles were pressed into service after the incident,” he added. At the time of the incident, around eight workers were working inside the factory. “However, they managed to escape the fire, averting any casualties,” Tiwari said.
