Akshay Kumar has opened up about reprising his role as Jolly Mishra in the upcoming film “Jolly LLB 3.”

The Delhi High Court has issued a proactive injunction to prevent several unauthorized websites from unlawfully streaming, hosting, or showing the upcoming Bollywood film Jolly LLB 3, set to release on September 19. Justice Tejas Karia noted that any delay in restricting access to these rogue sites could result in significant financial losses for the makers and cause irreparable damage to their copyright for the film.

It said: “…it is evident that considering the possibility of unauthorised dissemination of the film in question in the age of the internet would require effective and swift means to contain the spread of unauthorised dissemination of the Film.”

The film is expected to start with double-digit numbers, which could go even higher depending on last-minute bookings and audience reviews, according to Sacnilk.com. The Delhi High Court has ordered over 20 rogue websites to be blocked ahead of the release of Jolly LLB 3, starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi. The film’s rights holder, Jiostar India Private Limited, had approached the Court citing the threat of piracy as infringing sites often leak movies on release day. Acting on the plea, Justice Tejas Karia passed an injunction and directed ISPs, domain registrars, and government bodies to ensure swift blocking of the identified domains before the film’s September 19 release.

Thus, with the early positive reviews towards the film, one can expect the film to grow by the end of the day and over the weekend. The early response has been glowing. 'Jolly LLB 3' has a below average advance booking and has earned Rs 3.23 crore so far. But the film will largely depend on positive word of mouth and spot bookings for a decent opening day number. Being the third installment of a franchise which has already done well, the film should have been better in terms of the advance sales because there's a familiarity. Yet, the buzz has not been at par for the film. But the first reviews seem extremely encouraging and one hopes it translates into the box office numbers as well.

During the press conference, Akshay Kumar made headlines not just for the film but also for his strong message about staying away from tobacco. When asked by a reporter about his experience playing a character from Kanpur and whether he noticed the city's association with gutka (tobacco), Akshay gave a direct response: "Balki gutka nahi khana chahiye" (Tobacco should not be consumed), he said. The journalist tried to interrupt him, but the actor, known for his quick wit, replied with humor, "Interview mera hai ya tumhara? Main bol raha hoon, gutka nahi khana chahiye, that's it." ("Is this my interview or yours? I'm saying, one should not eat gutka.") His reply quickly went viral on social media.

The film took an opening of Rs 3.05 crore and had a lifetime collection of over Rs 32 crore in India. It’s success made the second part even bigger and Akshay Kumar was brought in to justify it’s scale. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) awarded the movie a U/A certificate along with a “16+” advisory on September 2. While the board instructed the makers to implement a few alterations, the changes did not alter the core storyline.Among the directives, the earlier disclaimer was scrapped and replaced with a new one. Instances showing an alcohol brand were blurred, and the word “Fu***r” was removed. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the CBFC also sought adjustments in specific scenes, for instance, toning down a sequence where policemen were shown assaulting an elderly man, and blurring a logo on a file carried by Janaki (played by Seema Biswas). Additionally, one dialogue in the second half of the movie was revised to: “Janki amma ka gaon sirf ek…cheque muh pe fek ke mara.”
