Jharkhand Republic Day 2026: 12 Tableaux to Showcase State Schemes, Culture at Morabadi Ground

Ranchi: A total of 12 departmental tableaux will be displayed during the Republic Day Celebration 2026, showcasing key schemes and policies of the state govt, along with the state’s rich art, culture and heritage.

Additionally, around 15 parade platoons and three bands will participate in the R-Day programme which will take place in Ranchi’s Morabadi Ground. As per the norms, governor Santosh Gangwar will unfurl the tricolour in Ranchi while chief minister Hemant Soren will do so in Dumka.


On Saturday, DC Manjunath Bhajantri held a review meeting to take stock of the preparations ahead of R-Day programme in Ranchi. Officials said that parade rehearsals will be held from Jan 18 to Jan 23 and the final rehearsal will take place on Jan 24.

During the meeting, Bhajantri has directed all the concerned departments to ensure comprehensive arrangements for the smooth conduct of the ceremony.

The directives include the construction of waterproof pandals and galleries, adequate seating arrangements for visitors and VVIPs, proper levelling and barricading of the ground, installation of stage and sound system towers, and provision of uninterrupted power supply through soundproof generators.

“All preparations must be completed within the time-frame to ensure smooth conduct of the main ceremony," he said, emphasing on arrangements of proper drinking water facilities, toilets, ambulances, and fire safety arrangements at the venue.

Guidelines were also issued regarding traffic regulation and parking management, with instructions for designated parking areas and arrangements for trailers and large vehicles carrying tableaux.

Civil surgeon has been instructed to ensure proper medical facilities while Ranchi Municipal Corporation has been directed to complete cleanliness drives at the ceremony venue and along all major approach roads.

Bhajantri said, "The main attraction of Republic Day would be the tableaux showcasing key schemes and policies of the govt, along with the state’s rich art, culture, traditions and historical heritage. A total of 12 departmental tableaux will be displayed during the ceremony."
