Jamshedpur: The city police have arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 110 packets of brown sugar weighing 25 grams in two separate recoveries from two separate police station limits on Monday.
In the first case, Sidhgora police apprehended two people, who have been identified as Rahul Sandil (25), and Preeti Kumari (27), from an abandoned quarter near Bhalubasa town outpost based on a tip-off.
Police recovered 100 small packets of brown sugar worth 23 grams besides Rs 5,000 cash from them. The investigation team led by Dy SP (Headquarter one) Bhola Prasad nabbed the accused when they were about to flee the crime scene on spotting the cops.
“Both the accused have been caught for the first time,” said DSP.
In a separate case, Sonari thana police apprehended the accused Shyam Kumar Thakur (28), and recovered 11 packets of brown sugar weighing 2 grams from him.
Led by Sonari police station in-charge, Manoj Kumar Thakur, police nabbed him from his Pardesi Pada house under Sonari than limits.
