D’Antre Robinson, the defensive lineman who played for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has officially committed to the University of Oregon Ducks through the NCAA Transfer Portal, the school announced on January 18, 2026. Robinson made this move after just one season with the Tar Heels football team. He first came to UNC from the University of Florida before the 2025 season. In his season with North Carolina, he appeared in 12 games and recorded 38 tackles, half a sack, and a forced fumble, according to transfer reports. This transfer comes at a tough time for head coach Bill Belichick and his UNC program. The Tar Heels struggled to a 4–8 record in 2025 under Belichick’s leadership, finishing near the bottom of the Atlantic Coast Conference and prompting wide discussions about the direction of the team.

Belichick, widely known for his legendary NFL coaching career, will join other analysts to break down plays and talk college football. This role follows his regular media appearances in recent years, including on the “Manningcast” and other ESPN programs. Despite the tough 2025 season with UNC, Belichick has said he plans to stay with the Tar Heels and continue building the team.
