Hazaribag Police Seize 27 Motorcycles
Hazaribag: A total of 27 motorcycles were seized from Napokhurd and nearby villages in Hazaribag district on Saturday. One person has been detained for questioning. Some of the bikes were allegedly used in illegal activities, including unlawful coal trade, illicit liquor business and gambling, police said.The officer in-charge of Barkagaon police station, Krishna Kumar Gupta, said, “We are verifying the engine and chassis numbers of all seized bikes and cross-checking them with records of stolen vehicles reported in police stations across Hazaribag. Our priority is to identify stolen vehicles and ensure that they are returned to rightful owners after due verification.”

Appealing to the public, Gupta urged buyers to verify registration certificates, chassis and engine numbers before purchasing second-hand vehicles. “Check ownership details through official records and avoid deals that appear unusually cheap or lack proper documentation. Inform police if you come across any suspicious vehicle. The identity of informants will be kept confidential,” he said.
