Educational institutions in Ranchi celebrate Christmas with enthusiasm, festive spirit
Ranchi: Educational institutions across the city celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm and festive fervour, spreading messages of joy, peace, and goodwill among students, teachers, and staff. The celebrations featured special assemblies, Christmas carol singing, cultural programmes, skits depicting the birth of Jesus Christ, and cheerful visits by students dressed as Santa Claus.
At Oxford Public School, Christmas and New Year celebrations were organised for students from Nursery to Class V. Performances depicting the birth of Jesus Christ, colourful dance presentations, and melodious songs enthralled the audience.
At Sarala Birla University, a Christmas gathering was organised by the Mahadevi Birla Institute of Nursing and Clinical Technology. Experts highlighted the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, emphasising values of love, compassion, forgiveness, service, and humanity. Students presented cultural performances.
At St Michael’s Public School, New Ashok Nagar, students sang carols, while many dressed as Santa Claus. School director Deepak Kumar Sinha conveyed Christmas greetings to students, parents, and teachers, urging them to embrace love, peace, and service.
DAV Public School, Bariatu, celebrated a winter carnival for students from Nursery to Class II. Children showcased creativity through art and fun games, spreading messages of environmental protection and social values. Principal Sanjay Kumar Mishra said, "Such activities sensitise students to life values through joyful learning."
At Cambrian Public School, students dressed as Santa Claus exchanged gifts, spreading happiness and the spirit of sharing.
