Edu institutions celebrate Teacher’s Day
Ranchi: Teacher's Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across various educational institutions on Friday to mark the birth anniversary of former president and philosopher Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.The day was marked with cultural programmes, poetry recitations, speeches, and special assemblies dedicated to teachers. At several institutions, students took symbolic charge of classrooms, while flowers, greeting cards, and handmade gifts were presented as tokens of gratitude. At East Point School, the celebrations were entirely managed by students, featuring cultural performances, including songs, dances, and skits. At Cambrian Public School, chief guest and social worker Anandamayi Singh described teachers as builders of the nation who shape values and character. The event began with the garlanding of Dr Radhakrishnan's portrait. At Surendranath Centenary School, students expressed gratitude in a traditional manner with tilak and thank you cards. At Sarla Birla University, Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Verma urged teachers to continuously open doors of knowledge for students, citing the example of Aristotle.
