Dumka Police Solve Double Murder Case of Woman and Grandmother; Husband Confesses

Dumka: The Dumka police on Sunday said that they have cracked the double murder case of a 20-year-old woman Sona Murmu and her grandmother Sona Baski at Amchua village under Shikaripara police station limits of the district late in the evening on Friday. Dumka SP Pitambar Singh Kherwar said, during intensive interrogation of family members, the statements and behaviour of Raju Soren, who is the husband of one of the deceased, Sona Murmu, aroused suspicion. "He confessed to killing his wife Sona Murmu and her grandmother Sona Baski (70),” Kherwar stated, adding frequent quarrels with his wife were the reason behind the crime.
