RANCHI: The special PMLA court in Ranchi on Thursday allowed six-day custody of businessman
Prem Prakash to the ED in a case related to illegal mining and money laundering.

Prakash before the court and sought 14-day custody for interrogation. After hearing the defence counsel, the court allowed six days’ custody, which would commence on Friday. He would be sent to
Birsa Munda central jail today (Thursday).”
The ED had on Wednesday recovered two AK 47 rifles along with 60 cartridges from Prakash’s rented house near the Argora Chowk in Ranchi. Sources said that ED would question Prakash in connection with the documents and other items seized during the raid conducted at various locations linked to him.
Earlier in the day, Prakash was brought to the ED zonal office in Ranchi where he underwent medical tests for various ailments including Covid-19. The ED raided Prakash’s residence in Ranchi on May 25 as well and had recovered a Cambodian tortoise from his house. TNN
