Ranchi: Two groups on Saturday clashed over a plot of land, beat up each other, and burned a car in Hotwasi village under Vidhan Sabha police station limits of Ranchi, police stated. The Hatia Deputy Superintendent of Police PK Mishra went to the spot and brought the situation under control. “Both the groups are claiming ownership over the land. The matter is before the court. The conflict took place over taking possession over the land today,” Mishra said.He said that during the clash the car belonging to Satyam Srivastava, a member of one group was set ablaze. Police tried to douse the flames after arriving at the spot. Sources said that both sides were preparing to lodge complaints against each other in connection with the incident.
