Ambedkar Statue Vandalized in Dumka: Protests Erupt, Police Investigate

Dumka: Leaders and activists from Bhim Army, RJD, and other organisations protested at Ambedkar Chowk, demanding the arrest of the culprits who vandalised Dr BR Ambedkar’s statue, on Thursday.

The statue was found with broken fingers, a dirty garland around the neck, cloth wrapped around it, and dry leaves stuffed into the fingers.


The officer in-charge of the Town police station, Jagannath Dhan, said, “The act is believed to have been the handiwork of a mentally retarded person.”
