Raipur: A Centre of Entrepreneurship (CoE) and an Electronics System Design and Development (ESDD) centre will be established in Chhattisgarh following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the state's Department of Electronics and Information Technology and the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI). The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at his residence on Tuesday.
The CoE will promote start-ups in areas such as artificial intelligence, forest- and medicinal product-based MedTech, smart city solutions and smart agriculture. The ESDD centre, meanwhile, will support 30 to 40 hardware start-ups and MSMEs annually by providing assistance in product design, prototyping and capacity building. Officials said the initiative will enable local entrepreneurs to access incubation, mentorship, funding and advanced laboratories.
"Chhattisgarh is emerging as a reliable and attractive destination for IT, ITeS and emerging technology industries due to our investor-friendly policies and effective e-governance," CM said.
