Raipur: Raipur police have tightened norms for hotels, bars and clubs, mandating CCTV surveillance, guest verification and strict adherence to closing hours, following a high-level meeting with over 300 owners of hotels, bars, clubs, dhabas and restaurants held on Monday.
The meeting focused on strengthening law and order, curbing illegal activities and ensuring public safety across the city. Police directed all establishments to install high-quality CCTV cameras covering both directions of adjoining roads, with a mandatory 30-day backup. Management has been instructed to ensure police verification of all employees. Tightening guest entry norms, police said establishments must verify customers' mobile numbers upon arrival and record guests' photographs, mode of arrival—by flight, train or road—and vehicle numbers.
Customers wearing masks must remove them for identification photographs.
Police have fixed midnight (12 am) as the mandatory closing time, with no parties permitted beyond this limit. Use of DJ systems must stop by 10 pm.
