MPSC aspirants held for extorting 1L from teacher
Pune: Pune Rural police arrested two MPSC aspirants on Aug 30, on the charge of extorting Rs1.15 lakh from a 56-year-old teacher from a govt primary school in the district by threatening to post his private photos and videos on social media platforms.Police sub-inspector Rahul Sable and his team arrested the duo from a village in Baramati taluka when they came to take Rs1 lakh from the teacher. "The duo, Abhishek Panchal (21) and Siddhant Gaganbhide (21), both currently residing in Chakan and originally from Latur district, have been remanded to police custody till September 4," Sable told TOI. The teacher lodged a complaint against the duo.
