Maha candidates make theirmark in UPSC final results
Pune: More than 50 aspirants from Maharashtra have cleared the civil services examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and have found a place on the final merit list. Sayali Pagar is on rank 87, which is probably the highest secured by a candidate from Maharashtra.
UPSC has recommended 958 individuals to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and several central services in Group A and Group B, following declaration of the final results. The main examination was conducted in Aug 2025. Qualifying aspirants were called for interviews between Dec 2025 and Feb 2026.Tukaram Jadhav, director of The Unique Academy, which prepares students from across the state for the civil services exam, said he was satisfied with the results. The institute was committed to supporting students aspiring to qualify UPSC from the moment they take their decision to compete to achieving success in the final results, he added.Pagar credited her success to the institute's regular UPSC guidance classes, updated study material, examination-oriented practice tests and the personal attention given during preparations.Other than Pagar, successful candidates who flourished under the guidance of The Unique Academy are Ankita Patil at rank 140, Kartik Bachhav at 177, Mohini Jagtap at 323, Harshvardhan Tidke at 355, Kunal S Ahirrao at 430, Abhishek Magdum at 449, Manoj Patil at 493, Nandini Patil at 512, Nikhil Tambe at 517, Shruti Chavan Rank at 527 and Dhananjay Dighe at 529.Meanwhile, UPSC said the final number of appointments would depend on vacancies announced by the Central govt for the respective services. The notification also said the recommendation of 348 candidates was provisional currently, while the results of two candidates was withheld. Claims related to reservation categories would be verified by the concerned authorities before appointments were confirmed.
