Buxar: A 45-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a speeding express train near the western end of Twining Ganj railway station under Danapur railway division on Tuesday morning.
According to eyewitnesses, the woman identified as Basiran Bibi, a resident of Sovan village, was crossing the railway tracks from south to north when she misjudged the speed of an approaching express train on the up line. She was hit by the train, and the impact left her body badly mutilated. Local residents informed the railway authorities and Buxar GRP. A police team led by Buxar GRP SHO Vikas Kumar reached the site.

Her husband Mohammad Alauddin said she was on her way to Naya Bhojpur to buy medicines when the accident took place.
The GRP sent the body for the postmortem to a govt hospital.
