Two-year-old raped and killed in Banka

Patna: A two-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered in Banka district. Her body was found near a school late Friday night, sparking outrage and protests in the area. The police arrested four suspects and are investigating the case.

According to the police, the girl was playing outside her grandmother's house when she went missing. Her body was later found near a school with signs of rape and strangulation. The police collected evidence and are awaiting the post-mortem report to confirm the cause of death.


Banka SP Upendra Nath stated, “The investigation is ongoing, and we are looking into all possible angles. The girl was subjected to rape and then murdered. We arrested 4 suspects and are interrogating them.”

The child’s mother said that on Friday around 10am, the girl was playing in front of the house. Meanwhile, she went missing. When she was not seen for some time, a search was initiated. Inquiries were made at nearby houses as well, but there was no trace of her until evening.

Late at night, information was received about the child's body being found near the village school. Then there was chaos in the village. We reached the spot. The child's body was lying there.

The police were informed about the incident. After receiving the information, the SDPO and SHO Raju Kumar Thakur reached the spot. After a preliminary investigation, the body was sent to Banka sadar hospital for post-mortem.
