Two JD(U) leaders join PK's Jan Suraaj
Patna: Two senior JD(U) netas – former Union minister Dasai Chaudhary and Bhuvan Patel – along with their supporters on Friday joined Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj.
The induction ceremony was held at Sheikhpura House, the residence of Jan Suraaj national president and former MP Uday Singh, where both leaders were greeted with the party’s yellow scarf.
Singh said, “Nitish Kumar once started walking on the right path with good people like them, but now he has lost his way. He is surrounded by people who are pushing Bihar towards destruction. His name will no longer be written in golden letters in history.”
Chaudhary, a three-time MLA, former MP, and ex-minister in the Chandrashekhar govt, said, “I was associated with JD(U) for a long time. When I was an MLA, Nitish was not in a significant position. I supported him wholeheartedly against Laluji, but later Nitish neither paid attention to me nor involved me in the organisation or govt. Despite repeated requests, he did not respond. Then, I met Prashant Kishor, who invited me to work with respect. I have joined Jan Suraaj not with the sole aim of contesting elections but to work with dignity.”
Patel, who claimed to be a founder member of the erstwhile Samata Party, said he had worked with Kishor earlier in JD(U) and was rejoining him “with respect and enthusiasm.”
