STF arrests 3 wanted criminals in Patna

Patna: Special Task Force (STF) arrested notorious criminal Badal Rai and three of his associates during a raid in the Alamganj police station area of Patna district. A large cache of illegal weapons and other incriminating materials was recovered during the operation, according to an official statement issued on Wednesday.

According to the police headquarters, the STF had received a tip-off that Badal was planning to execute a major incident in collaboration with land mafias from Didarganj and Patna City. Acting swiftly, the special team conducted a raid and nabbed the four criminals, averting a potential crime.


The STF recovered two country-made pistols, one katta, two magazines, nine live cartridges, five mobile phones, and a motorcycle from their possession.

The main accused, Badal alias Badal Gop, has seven criminal cases registered against him in various Patna police stations, including those related to murder and offences under the Arms Act. He had also recently carried out two deadly attacks on rivals as part of an ongoing turf war.

The others arrested have been identified as Kunal Raj (who faces a kidnapping case), Jitendra Kumar, and Akash Kumar.
