Ara: A teacher at a private school in Bhojpur district, accused of sexual abuse involving a 13-year-old boy, a Class VIII student, has been arrested under the
POCSO Act by Bhojpur police.
The incident occurred under the Udwantnagar police station area at a private school situated near Zero Mile in Ara. Although the incident took place on Thursday, it came to light on Saturday morning.
Udwantnagar SHO Jayant Kumar said, “Acting on the FIR lodged by the boy’s father, the police arrested the teacher (25) from his house located under the Nawada police station area of Ara.”
A case under the POCSO Act was registered against him. In the FIR, it was alleged that the boy was frequently subjected to ‘bad touch’ (sexual abuse) by the accused teacher and when he opposed it, the teacher physically assaulted him too. The boy’s medical test was conducted at Sadar Hospital, Ara.
Narrating his ordeal, the boy told reporters that the accused was an SST teacher at the private school where he studied.
The boy alleged that when no action was taken by the school authorities against the teacher even after his complaint, he told his parents about it, who immediately lodged an FIR.
