Railways extends services of nine pairs of trains

The Railway Board has approved the extension of nine pairs of passenger trains originating from the East Central Railway (ECR). Key extensions include the Bengaluru-Patliputra and Ahmedabad-Barauni lines now reaching Saharsa. Several trains like the Jaynagar-Danapur and Kolkata-Patna Garib Rath will extend to Ara, while the Amritsar-Saharsa Jansaharan will run up to Narpatganj.

Patna: The Railway Board on Wednesday approved the proposal for extension of at least nine pairs of passenger trains originating from different places falling under the East Central Railway (ECR) with immediate effect.According to the ECR’s CPRO Saraswati Chandra, the Bengaluru-Patliputra and Ahmedabad-Barauni will run up to Saharsa, while the Jaynagar-Danapur, New Jalpaiguri-Rajendra Nagar Terminal Capital, Kolkata-Patna Garib Rath and Kamakhya-Rajendra Nagar Terminal have been extended up to Ara.“While the Amritsar-Saharsa Jansaharan has been extended up to Narpatganj, the Pune-Danapur will now run up to Supaul,” Chandra said, adding that the Danapur-Rajgir will run up to Koderma.
