PM Modi to interact with 838 youths from Bihar on April 13

Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually interact with 15,000 youths from different states and Union territories, including Bihar, on April 13, the concluding day of the two-day ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ Budget Quest.

The interaction will take place across 17 locations nationwide. A total of 838 youths from Bihar, aged between 15 and 29 years, have been selected to participate in the national dialogue on various facets of the Union Budget.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, state director of MY Bharat Kapil Dev Ram and PIB Patna deputy director Loukik Parakh said the event will be held on April 12 and 13 at the Urja Auditorium in Patna, along with venues in other states. Bihar governor Lt Gen (retd) Syed Ata Hasnain will grace the occasion. The programme is being jointly organised by the state govt and the Union ministry of youth affairs and sports.

In Patna, selected participants will deliberate on themes such as ‘Developed Agriculture: Strengthening Agriculture, Rural Economy, and Farmers’ Welfare’ and ‘Human Capital: Investing in Education, Skill Development, and Employment’. Kapil said the initiative reflects the spirit of India’s Amrit Peedhi—a generation actively contributing to nation-building while valuing the country’s heritage.

Based on the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, the programme was executed in three phases. The first phase involved a national-level quiz, followed by an essay competition in the second phase based on nine development themes. The third and final phase will feature direct interaction between selected participants and national leadership.

The nationwide initiative saw participation from over 1.2 million youths and received more than 46,500 essays. Officials said the objective is to involve young people in discussions related to the Union Budget 2026 and enable their participation in the policymaking process.

Kapil added that the programme brings together young talents who cleared a rigorous multi-tier national selection and are now set to engage in a significant national platform.

As part of the event, a women’s youth parliament will be organised on April 12 under the theme ‘Nari Shakti: The Voice of a Developed India’. Female participants will hold a parliamentary-style discussion on the Women’s Reservation Bill, presided over by a woman Speaker, and adopt a resolution at the end of the session.
