Patna: Nalanda Open University (NOU) on Monday launched its newly developed ‘Employability App’ for the benefit of thousands of its students enrolled in different academic programmes.
Launching the App, NOU’s vice-chancellor Ravindra Kumar said in the present competitive age, merely awarding degrees to students is not the aim of the university; rather it is committed to providing job-oriented skills to the students. The new App will link the students with education along with employability, he said. The VC further said the App will help students find jobs, manage schedules, and find work. It will connect the students with jobs and career-enhancing courses and offer guides for freelancing, part-time remote work, and internships. Besides, it will also focus on industry-relevant skills, resume-building, and career counselling, the VC added.
NOU registrar Abhay Kumar Singh said the App will help students immensely in preparation of different competitive examinations and finding suitable jobs as per their skill and knowledge.
Others who described the salient features of the App included Kiran Pandey, Amar Nath Pandey, Pallavi, Sangita Kumari, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava and Sarfaraz Alam.
