Patna: Purnia Airport on Saturday announced its summer flight schedule for 2026, which will come into effect from June 1, offering improved connectivity to major cities including Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Hyderabad.
According to the new schedule, Star Air will operate two daily services connecting Purnia with Kolkata and Ahmedabad. The first flight, S5 618/621, will arrive from Ahmedabad at 8.45am and depart for Kolkata at 9.25am. The second flight, S5 620/619, will arrive from Kolkata at 12.25pm and depart for Ahmedabad at 1.05pm. Both services will operate throughout the week.
IndiGo will also continue multiple daily operations from the airport. Flight 6E-7924/7925, operated with an ATR-72 aircraft, will arrive from Kolkata at 11.20 am and depart at 11.55am.
Another daily IndiGo service, 6E-6559/6560, using an A-320N aircraft, will connect Purnia with Delhi. The flight is scheduled to arrive at 1pm and depart at 1.55pm.
The airline will also operate flights to Hyderabad under flight number 6E-5935/5936 using A-320N aircraft. The service will arrive at 2.40pm.
Departure timings have been fixed at 3.40pm from Monday to Friday and on Sunday, while on Saturdays the flight will depart at 3.55pm.
According to airport officials, passenger traffic at Purnia Airport has remained steady in 2026. In March, the airport handled 308 aircraft movements, including 154 arrivals and 154 departures, while total passenger traffic stood at 30,532.
In April, the airport recorded 282 aircraft movements and a total passenger footfall of 27,725. Earlier figures showed 27,412 passengers in January and 28,739 in Feb.
