Patna: The students of Green House lifted the overall championship trophy at the annual sports event of Notre Dame Academy on Saturday. Over 2,500 students participated in the sporting events and showcased their athletic skills.The runners-up trophy was bagged by the students of Red House.
Tanisha Singh of class VIII from Red House was adjudged the most promising player. Ranu Singh of class X and Alankrita of class VII got the best player award in kabaddi. Shivangi Kumari of class XII and
Zara Sabih of class X received the best player trophy in khokho while Divya Singh of class XII was adjudged the best in throwball and Aishwarya of class IX in basketball.
The students of Green House presented the best march past. Blue House was adjudged the best disciplined house.
With 15 points each, Anandi Arya of class XII,
Shreyashi Singh of class IX and Agrima Singh of class VIII and Ankita Kumari of class VII were adjudged the best athletes in senior, junior and sub-junior category, respectively.
Students displayed unity, coordination, fair play and stamina on the annual sports day, which was based on the theme ‘stand together to rise forever’.
Alok Raj, DG (special armed forces), was the chief guest of the event. He motivated the students to progress, achieve and shine in life. The guest of honour was
Sr Mary Tessy, provincial superior of Sisters of
NDA and
Sr Sreeja, former assistant superior general.
The special guest was Arbind Kumar Mishra, regional officer, CBSE Patna.
Students displayed spectacular show of yoga, zumba and hoopla drill. Tableaux on women achievers and the dance display on achievements of India were the main highlights of the day. The various track events kept the spectators engrossed till the end.
