India Pakistan News Live Updates: In the context of Operation Sindoor and India's continued fight against cross-border terrorism, seven All-Party Delegations are set to visit key partner countries, including members of the UN Security Council later this month. The following Members of Parliament will lead the seven delegations :

Defence minister Rajnath Singh on Friday visited the Indian Air Force Station in Gujarat’s Bhuj, days after India successfully executed ‘Operation Sindoor’—a major military offensive targeting multiple terror infrastructure points in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and deep inside Pakistan.
The Defence minister was accompanied by Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, and both were expected to review the air force command centre and congratulate the personnel involved in the operation. Singh’s visit to Bhuj holds special significance, as Pakistan had claimed it had severely damaged the airbase during its retaliation—an assertion India strongly refutes.
The visit not only seeks to punch holes in Pakistan’s propaganda but also sends a strong message to the global community about India’s military preparedness. The Defence Minister’s presence at the Bhuj IAF base underlines that Indian armed forces effectively defended their bases and neutralised all projectiles and missiles launched from across the border in response to Operation Sindoor.
A day earlier, Rajnath Singh had travelled to Jammu and Kashmir to assess the broader security situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border. Addressing soldiers, Singh invoked the moral dimension of India's response: “Terrorists killed innocent people in Pahalgam by asking their ‘dharma’ (religion they follow). Then, the whole world saw ‘Operation Sindoor’. We killed terrorists by looking at their ‘karma’ (deeds). They killed the innocent tourists by targeting them based on their religion. This was Pakistan's ‘karma’ but we eliminated them by looking at their ‘karma’, this is our ‘Bharatiya dharma’,” he told the forces.
He also raised serious concerns over the safety of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal and urged the global nuclear watchdog to take control of it.
“It is time that the Nuclear facility of Pakistan is taken over by an international body so that their Nuclear bluff is called forever,” he said, calling Pakistan an irresponsible nation.
“India will not succumb to any Nuclear blackmail by Pakistan as has been proved by the strikes on terror targets by us,” Singh added.

"Must be fair and without politics": Aaditya Thackeray on all-party delegation
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Sunday welcomed the Centre's move to send an all-party delegation to other countries to explain India's stand on terrorism and Operation Sindoor, but he urged that it should be done fairly and without politics.
He also demanded a special Parliament session to honour the armed forces and discuss the full chain of events.
Speaking to ANI, Aaditya Thackeray said, "When the Pahalgam attack took place, all the parties, including the opposition, supported the PM to take strict action. Since then, we continue to demand that he himself should attend that all-party meeting, but it hasn't happened. We also demand that a special session of the parliament be called to honour our armed forces and to discuss the entire chain of events. It's good that all parties are being brought together, but it must be done fairly and there should be no politicisation."

Pakistan foreign minister Dar to visit 'all-weather friend' China
Reeling from Operation Sindoor blow, Pakistan has turned to its all-weather friend China, with its foreign minister Ishaq Dar set to visit the nation on Monday. The two countries are set to hold bilateral talks and discuss the "evolving regional situation in South Asia and its implications for peace and stability."
Additionally, Dar is also expected to hold trilateral talks with China and Afghanistan and discuss the "enhanced security cooperation" in the wake of India-Pakistan conflict.
"The foreign ministers of the three countries are expected to discuss the promotion of regional trade, enhanced security cooperation, and the evolving situation in the region, particularly in the wake of the recent Pakistan-India conflict," PTI reported citing Geo News.

42 unexploded shells destroyed in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch
Security forces on Sunday destroyed 42 unexploded shells in different forward villages near the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir in a major operation to clear civilian areas following a military confrontation between India and Pakistan. The Indian Army, in close coordination with local police authorities, successfully conducted a controlled operation for the safe destruction of 42 unexploded ordnances in the border areas of Jhullas, Salotri, Dharati and Salani.

Odisha Police probe links between Odia YouTuber and Jyoti Malhotra
The Odisha Police have started an investigation into the alleged links between a Puri-based YouTuber and Jyoti Malhotra, who was arrested on the charge of passing on sensitive information to Pakistani intelligence operatives, Puri SP Vinit Agrawal said.
"We found that Jyoti Malhotra had visited Puri last year, and we are verifying the fact. Anything more can be shared after the verification," Agrawal said.

In what appears to be a response to India's move of sending seven multi-party delegations to global capitals, Pakistan has decided to send its own team to advocate for 'peace' on the international stage.
Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced on Saturday that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had asked him to lead the delegation amid rising tensions between the two countries.
"I was contacted earlier today by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who requested that I lead a delegation to present Pakistan's case for peace on the international stage. I am honoured to accept this responsibility and remain committed to serving Pakistan in these challenging times," Zardari wrote on Facebook.

Union home minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that India’s military response to Pahalgam terror attack struck deep into Pak territory and left the neighbouring country ‘afraid’.
“For the first time since Independence, our armed forces destroyed terror camps 100km inside Pakistan. Pak thought it would threaten us with atom bombs, & we would be scared. But our armed forces gave them a befitting reply. Our three armed forces responded to bricks with stones,” Shah, who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat, said in Gandhinagar district’s Kolavada village.
Shah said our armed forces eliminated nearly 100 terrorists, destroyed the headquarters of terror outfits, and also destroyed 15 military air bases, which eventually reduced the Pakistan air force’s ability to hit back. He said PM Narendra Modi himself gave the name ‘Operation Sindoor’ in honour of the country’s women.
He said that before Modi became PM, terrorist attacks used to take place at regular intervals for years. “Terrorists backed by Pakistan routinely killed our soldiers, bombed our cities, and plotted with impunity. No strong response was ever given,” Shah said.
“During the tenure of PM Modi, India saw 3 terror attacks backed by Pak — Uri, Pulwama, and Pahalgam. In all three instances, India gave a befitting reply. After Uri, we carried out a surgical strike, after Pulwama, we warned them with an air strike, and after Pahalgam, the terror headquarters were razed to the ground,” said Shah. Traders in Delhi on Friday pledged to halt all business ties with Turkiye and Azerbaijan, following the two countries' recent political stances regarding India's counter-terror operations under Operation Sindoor in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) organised a campaign at the Delhi Secretariat where several market associations, traders and factory owners participated.
CTI chairman Brijesh Goyal said that the traders collectively took an oath not to conduct any future trade with Turkiye and Azerbaijan.
He also mentioned that representatives from major markets such as Kashmere Gate, Chandni Chowk, Chawri Bazar, Naya Bazar, Khari Baoli, Gandhi Nagar, Sadar Bazar, Rohini, Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, Kamla Nagar, Bawana, and Narela were present and joined the protest.
In addition to the trade boycott, participants also vowed not to travel to Turkiye or Azerbaijan.
Manoj Khandelwal, director of a Delhi-based travel and tourism agency, said that many travellers have already cancelled trips to these countries.
He added that most travel agencies are no longer offering bookings for both countries.
CTI convenor Priyanka Saxena said that in 2024, approximately 2.75 lakh Indian tourists visited Turkiye and 2.25 lakh visited Azerbaijan. Tourism contributes around 12–14 per cent to the overall economy of both countries and Indian visitors form a significant part of that.
CTI Chairman Goyal further said that hundreds of Delhi-based traders have already started cancelling their orders with Turkiye and Azerbaijan and are now exploring alternative sourcing options in other countries.

And the President has also been clear in terms of the praise that he has given both prime ministers of both countries for the wisdom and the fortitude that they showed by choosing the path of peace," he said.

India is planning a large-scale diplomatic initiative aimed at exposing Pakistan's continued support for terrorism on the global stage.
According to reliable sources, around 40 multi-party parliamentarians will form seven groups and travel to various regions of the world. The goal of this initiative is to inform the international community about Pakistan's ongoing support to terrorism and highlighting India's recently launched Operation Sindoor.
The tour is expected to span 10 days, commencing on May 23. The groups of parliamentarians are likely to visit several key world capitals, including the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and Japan.
This will be the first time that the Centre will depute MPs from multiple parties to present India's stance on Kashmir and cross-border terrorism originating from Pakistan.
While the government has not officially announced the initiative, it is understood that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and other agencies are currently preparing documents containing facts and instances to substantiate the allegations against Pakistan. An official from the MEA is expected to accompany the delegations.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju is leading the coordination efforts for this international tour, marking a significant step in India's diplomatic outreach.
Several opposition MPs, including Manish Tewari, Shashi Tharoor, Priyanka Chaturvedi, and Sasmit Patra, have reportedly been approached to participate in the campaign.

The goal of this initiative is to inform the international community about Pakistan's ongoing support to terrorism and highlighting India's recently launched Operation Sindoor.
The tour is expected to span 10 days, commencing on May 23. The groups of parliamentarians are likely to visit several key world capitals, including the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and Japan.
This will be the first time that the Centre will depute MPs from multiple parties to present India's stance on Kashmir and cross-border terrorism originating from Pakistan.
While the government has not officially announced the initiative, it is understood that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and other agencies are currently preparing documents containing facts and instances to substantiate the allegations against Pakistan. An official from the MEA is expected to accompany the delegations.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju is leading the coordination efforts for this international tour, marking a significant step in India's diplomatic outreach.
Several opposition MPs, including Manish Tewari, Shashi Tharoor, Priyanka Chaturvedi, and Sasmit Patra, have reportedly been approached to participate in the campaign.
JDU MP Sanjay Jha, former Minister of External Affairs Salman Khurshid, and BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi is also likely to participate.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi on Friday also visited forward locations in Baramulla, where he lauded the bravery of Army and BSF jawans during Operation Sindoor. He awarded the Chief of the Army Staff Commendation Disc to HC(GD) Rantana Ram of the 185 Bn BSF for his gallant action.
The COAS had earlier visited the forward posts of the Dagger Division in Jammu and Kashmir and interacted with the troops. Commending their valour and vigilance, he emphasised the need for readiness against future threats and challenges along the LoC.
On May 14, the country’s top military leadership—Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh—provided an overview of the execution of Operation Sindoor. The interaction focused on the Tri-Services synergy during the offensive, achieved through strategic guidance and new-age multi-domain operations marked by jointness and integration.
“General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), along with General Upendra Dwivedi (COAS), Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi (CNS) and Air Chief Marshal AP Singh (CAS) provide a direct perspective from the Apex Leadership of Indian Armed Forces into the successful conduct of Operation Sindoor. Insights on the Tri-Services synergy achieved through clearly stated Strategic guidance, and the successful execution of new-age multi-domain operations, with an exceptional degree of Jointness and Integration, deliberated with Veterans and Think Tanks,” Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff wrote.

The operation led to the death of over 100 terrorists belonging to groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen, and destroyed key terror infrastructure in PoK and Pakistan.
Following the Indian strikes, Pakistan retaliated with cross-border shelling and attempted drone attacks across the LoC and border regions of Jammu and Kashmir. In response, India launched a coordinated counterattack, targeting radar infrastructure, communication centres, and airfields across 11 Pakistani airbases.
Subsequently, on May 10, an understanding on cessation of hostilities between India and Pakistan was announced.
