Minister credits Nitish’s vision for Bihar’s growth
Buxar: Planning and development minister Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha on Sunday said the state’s growth continues to be guided by the development vision laid down by former CM Nitish Kumar. He said the policies and governance framework introduced during Nitish’s tenure remain the foundation of Bihar’s progress.
Addressing a function organised by Nagrik Parishad in Dumraon, Kushwaha said the govt is working to accelerate development and ensure welfare schemes reach every section of society. He added that development initiatives are gaining momentum under the leadership of CM Samrat Choudhary.
The minister said the govt is organising ‘Sahyog Shivirs’ in panchayats across the state to address public grievances and extend the benefits of welfare schemes to people at the grassroots level.
Speaking on the occasion, social scientist Jagnarayan Singh Yadav highlighted the historical significance of the Shahabad region. He said Shahabad was the birthplace of the historic Triveni Sangh and had played an important role in Bihar’s social and political history.
Yadav appealed to people to maintain peace, harmony and social unity. He urged residents to live together with mutual respect and contribute to the overall development of society, stressing that communal harmony and cooperation are essential for regional progress.
Earlier, Dumraon JD(U) MLA Rahul Kumar Singh welcomed the minister and other guests. JD(U) workers from the district also felicitated Kushwaha during the programme.
