Man found murdered in sleep

Madhepura: A 60-year-old man, Anmol Yadav, was found murdered while asleep in a room of his house in Murho village under the Bharrahi police station area in Madhepura district on Tuesday night.The incident came to light when his son, Ajay Yadav, approached him with a cup of tea the following morning and found his father lying dead on the bed in a pool of blood. The victim had apparently sustained an injury to his head inflicted by a sharp-edged weapon.
Bharrahi SHO Armod Kumar, accompanied by police personnel, rushed to the spot to assess the situation. The police took the body into custody after completing necessary formalities at the scene and sent it to Madhepura Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination.No formal complaint had been lodged with the police till Wednesday evening. Investigation is underway to unravel the mystery surrounding the murder, the SHO said.
