PATNA: APatna police team has been camping in New Delhi to trace the new address offormer MP Vijay Krishna and his son, Chanakya alias Guudu. Both of them areevading arrest in connection with the abduction and subsequent murder of JD(U)leader Satyendra Singh.
ADG (headquarters) Neelmani said thatproperty of Chanakya (Jula Niketan) and his father Vijay Krishna (Barh) hadalready been attached by the Patna police after the duo failed to surrender inthe court. He said that Krishna had already vacated his official bungalow in NewDelhi and had taken another accommodation of which the police are notaware.
Neelmani said that a Patna police team had been camping in thenational capital to locate Krishna's new residence. "The police would certainlyattach his property there once they locate his new residence," the ADGadded.
However, even after 41 days of the killing of Singh, thepolice have failed to arrest the father-son duo.
Both, Krishna andChanakya had been charged with allegedly kidnapping and subsequently eliminatingSingh at Chanakya's flat in Jula Niketan on Boring Canal Road on May 23. Singh'sdecomposed body was recovered from Dulli Ghat under Khajekalan police station bythe divers of Indian Navy, who were pressed into action after the Patna policefailed to fish out his body from the Ganga.
The names of Krishna andChanakya came to the fore after police interrogated Krishna's servant andbodyguard, who spilled the beans. In leading Patna City transporter SantoshTekriwal's killing, three suspects -- Deena Nath Paswan, Satyendra Paswan andVicky Paswan -- have been sent to jail. However, the killers, who sprayedbullets at Tekriwal's four-wheeler leading to his instant death, are still atlarge.
Tekriwal was gunned down by armed motorcycle riding criminalsat Rajendra Nagar under Kadamkuan police station while he was on way to hisresidence on his four-wheeler on June 12 evening.
The deceased'sfamily members had even met the then governor, R L Bhatia, seeking policeprotection for the entire family, besides CBI probe into hiskilling.
Regarding Tekriwal's case, Neelmani said that the Patnapolice were moving in the right direction. Both the killings had rocked thestate capital.
