Patna: Education minister Mithilesh Tiwary on Tuesday launched a “single window system” for speedy resolution of the grievances of students and their guardians. Under this new system, students as well as their guardians can register their complaints on a toll-free number (14417 and 8003454417) which will be answered by the education department within a stipulated period.
Inaugurating the system, the minister said neither students nor their guardians would have to visit the state secretariat for redressal of their grievances and their problems will be sorted out just through the phone call.
He said the director of primary education has already directed all the district education officers to prominently display the toll-free numbers of the department’s command and control centre on the front walls of all govt primary, secondary and higher secondary schools. All the officials concerned have also been directed to complete this new system latest by May 31 so that the maximum number of people could benefit from this system, he said.
The minister further said the initiative would help establish better coordination among students, guardians and the education department and facilitate expeditious disposal of cases related to scholarship, admission, certificates and other academic issues.
