Champaran couple in extramarital affair found hanging

BAGAHA: A man and woman, said to be in an extramarital affair, were found hanging at a house in Jada Pakdi village of West Champaran district on Friday, reports Tirthraj Kushwaha.

Munna Ram (30) and Madhu Devi (25) had an affair. "Madhu's husband was a migrant worker. On Thursday night, Ram was spotted in Madhu's house. On Friday morning Madhu's in-laws found her bedroom locked and called the police," said a villager. Ramnagar police broke open the door to find both hanging from the ceiling. Ram's family members alleged that he was called to Madhu's house and murdered there, while the woman's in-laws said both died by suicide.

Bagaha SP Kiran Kumar Gorakh Jadhav said the cause of death would be ascertained after postmortem. "Four persons have been detained."
