PATNA: CPI(ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya on Friday sought for replicating the ‘Bihar model’ of Grand Alliance (GA) governance at the national-level to checkmate BJP which he alleged is trying to destabilize the opposition governments. ML has 12 members in the 243-member Bihar assembly and has extended support to the ruling GA government from outside.

Addressing mediapersons, Bhattacharya said the political change in Bihar has sent a good and encouraging message across the nation and the very model needs to be replicated.

“The way BJP grabbed power in Maharashtra, JP Nadda announced the opposition will be finished in days to come and repeated remarks by Union home minister Amit Shah that BJP will remain in power for the next 40-50 years make it clear that the BJP wants to end democracy in the country,” Dipankar said.

He alleged the BJP is trying to destabilize the opposition-ruled governments in both Jharkhand and Bihar adding they will frustrate any attempt by the BJP to disturb the GA government.

“A conspiracy has been hatched to bring down the Jharkhand government while in Goa, Congress legislators were bought,” Dipankar alleged adding the saffron camp is working to destroy the opposition using money power.

Stating that the aspiration of the common people has increased post alliance shift in the state, Bhattacharya demanded preparation of ‘Common Minimum Programme’ .
