Patna: The ruling NDA leaders hailed the Election Commission of India’s (ECI’s) decision to hold Bihar assembly elections in two phases on Nov 6 and 11.Union home minister Amit Shah on Monday congratulated the people of Bihar for the grand festival of democracy, and expressed confidence that they will choose the politics of development this time too.Union minister and LJP (RV) chief Chirag Paswan appealed to the migrant voters of Bihar to come and vote. “Now is the time to elevate Bihar to new heights on the national map. To do this, it’s essential that we all exercise our right to vote, and vote in large numbers. Your one vote will determine Bihar’s bright future,” he posted on X.National executive president of the JD(U), Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Kumar Jha, said the upcoming Bihar elections will determine the future of the next 25 years. “Under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar, Bihar has achieved new heights of development in the last 20 years. Today, investors from across the country and world are turning to Bihar, new industries are being established in the state, and numerous employment opportunities are being created for youth,” Jha said.Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal expressed hope that the election results on Nov 14 will reflect people’s resolve to form an NDA govt again.
Welcoming the EC announcement, deputy CM Samrat Choudhary said the NDA’s landslide majority is almost certain in this election as well.“The public has decided to bless the NDA with a landslide victory on the issue of development. The NDA’s double-engine govt, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Nitish Kumar, has provided jobs to millions of youths, implemented schemes like ‘samman nidhi’ for farmers, permanent houses for poor, increased pensions for the elderly, employment assistance of Rs 10,000 for women, and provided 125 units of free electricity,” he said, adding that the NDA’s development model has left the opposition without any issue.The NDA partner and HAM(S) national president Santosh Kumar Suman said his alliance will win over 200 seats for the unprecedented development in Bihar under the leadership of Modi and Nitish. “Public has full confidence in the NDA,” Suman said.
