Bihar Assembly Polls: EC Announces Two-Phase Voting, Unveils 17 New Measures For Transparent Voting

The Election Commission of India has officially sounded the bugle for Bihar Assembly Elections 2025! Polling will take place in two crucial phases: November 6 and November 11, with results on November 14. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar declared that Bihar is set to witness “the most transparent and peaceful election in India’s history.” A staggering 68.5 lakh names have been deleted and 21.5 lakh new voters added under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Bihar now has 7.42 crore eligible voters, including 14 lakh first-timers. The EC has announced 17 groundbreaking measures including new EVMs with colored photos, horse-mounted police patrols, fake news control cells, and strict observer monitoring.
