Ashes of Ajit Pawar immersed in Falgu
On Friday, the ashes of Ajit Pawar were gracefully released into the serene waters of the Falgu River at Dev Ghat, Gaya, a poignant tribute following the tragic plane crash that claimed his life on January 28. Rana Ranbir Singh, national secretary of the NCP, officiated the emotional rites alongside the esteemed Gayapal panda community acharyas.
Gaya: The ashes of Ajit Pawar, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) senior leader and former deputy CM of Maharashtra were immersed in the Falgu river at Dev ghat on Friday. Pawar died in a plane crash on Jan 28.NCP national secretary Rana Ranbir Singh brought the urn from Mumbai. No family member of the deceased leader was present during the rituals.

Singh said, “The ashes are being immersed in different sacred rivers across the country. The responsibility of immersing ashes in the Falgu river was given to me. Acharyas from the Gayapal panda community performed the rituals, including Gaya shraddh, at Dev ghat according to the vedic tradition”.“The former leader had a deep connection with Bihar. He often discussed Bihar’s politics, social conditions, and development issues. For the party, he was not just a leader, but a guide and mentor. His untimely demise has deeply saddened every party worker,” Singh said.
