Ara: In a crackdown against illegal arms, Bhojpur police on Saturday seized more than a dozen weapons and ammunition in separate raids under the Barhara and Hasan Bazaar police station areas of the district.
According to a press release issued by the Bhojpur SP office on Saturday evening, the police seized one country-made pistol, 11 live cartridges, five empty cartridges, and two stolen CCTV cameras during a raid in the Barhara police station area. An FIR has been registered, and raids are underway to arrest the identified accused.
In another operation, police arrested Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Mungra village under Jagdishpur police station area, from Hasan Bazaar. He was allegedly planning to commit a major crime. A rifle was seized from his possession.
