4 held in Buxar robbery case

Buxar police have arrested four individuals involved in the robbery of an SBI employee that occurred on July 8th. An SIT was formed, leading to the apprehension of three suspects attempting to sell stolen mobile phones.

Buxar: Four people, accused of robbing an SBI employee of his belongings, have been arrested, along with the bounty and illegal firearms, said Buxar SP Shubham Arya on Thursday. According to the SP Sanjay Kumar, an employee of SBI-Koransarai, was robbed of his belongings in Sikraul police station limits on July 8.An SIT was formed under the supervision of subdivisional police officer, Dumraon, Polast Kumar, which apprehended three suspects while they were attempting to sell stolen mobile phones on Wednesday. Upon inspection, one of the mobile phones was confirmed to be the one looted from Sanjay. Further search led to the recovery of a country-made pistol, live cartridge and an empty shell.During interrogation, the accused disclosed that the robbed tablet had been discarded in Bhadar Pokhara, from where it was later recovered by police.Based on their statements, a fourth accused was apprehended. From his possession, two additional live cartridges were recovered. As no valid documents were provided for the seized firearms and ammunition, a separate case was registered under relevant sections of the Arms Act. All four accused have confessed to their involvement in the crime.
