3 power plant workers die after being hit by train in Buxar
Buxar: Three people working at a power plant in Chausa were killed on the outskirts of Buxar district on Sunday after being run over by a train on the Bara-Gahmar railway section under the Pt Deendayal Upadhyay-Danapur division. The accident took place on the down line near pole number 678/28, where an unidentified train struck the trio, killing them on the spot.According to officials, the deceased were employed with a private firm at the Chausa power plant. They had reportedly gone to Gahmar in Uttar Pradesh for urgent work and were returning on foot along the railway tracks when the incident occurred.The victims were identified as Jaynath Sahni (32), Gulshan Ram (35) and Pappu Singh (35).Kundan Kumar, RPF inspector at Buxar, said, “People should not walk on railway tracks. It is very dangerous and can lead to fatal accidents.”
