Poor infra, outages irk Noida Sector 44 residents
Noida: Over 15,000 residents of Sector 44 have been grappling with frequent power outages and crumbling infrastructure. Locals cite rusted panels, cables, three defunct transformers and a flood-prone substation that leaves equipment submerged during monsoons, raising safety fears. Residents have written to the Noida power department's chief engineer for urgent repairs.RWA general secretary Sudhir Sood said, "We have been facing power cuts for the past couple of months. Although they are often brief but they disrupt daily life."

Sood has pointed out that the rusted electrical panels with damaged doors require urgent replacement. He also highlighted that three non-functioning transformers in the sector have been out of service for an extended period. About 7 to 8 kilometres of damaged cables have remained unrepaired for years.Chief engineer of the power department SK Jain has noted the issues and said they will be addressed soon.
