Noida: A factory worker was allegedly crushed to death and his coworker was critically injured after a speeding truck rammed into their motorcycle from behind on Sector 67 Road on Wednesday.
Police said the accident occurred around 8.30pm when Pyaruddin Mirza and Anil Kumar were returning home after work. They said the truck had a Haryana registration number.
While Mirza died on the spot, Kumar was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Mirza’s brother-in-law, Sheikh Azam, filed a complaint at Phase-3 police station. Eyewitnesses said the motorcycle was severely damaged in the crash.
Officers said a case has been registered against the unidentified truck driver based on the vehicle number provided by the eyewitnesses. Efforts are underway to trace the accused driver and seize the truck involved in the accident.
