Nagpur: In a swift operation, the local crime branch, Nagpur rural, solved a theft case within 24 hours, arresting three suspects. On October 11, Gulshan Goplani, 49, reported that three unknown assailants on a motorcycle attacked his cargo vehicle in Dharmapuri, Aroli.
The culprits beat Goplani and his driver, Rahul Patil, with an iron rod, broke the vehicle's window, and stole Rs2.4 lakh in cash.
Following a parallel investigation, the police, using technical evidence, apprehended Rahul Patil, Deva Chandrikapure, and Bhagwat Verma for the crime. The trio confessed to the pre-planned conspiracy. Cops recovered Rs2.45 lakh, a motorcycle, and two mobile phones, totalling Rs3.4 lakh.
