Nagpur: The Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) has disbursed over Rs185 crore in assistance to 21,314 beneficiaries across Maharashtra between January and August 2025, reveals data released by the state govt.
The monthly distribution of aid shows a consistent outreach, with the highest disbursal recorded in July at Rs30.87 crore, benefiting 3,623 individuals. June and August also saw significant allocations of over Rs27 crore and Rs26 crore, respectively.
Officials said the scheme continues to provide timely financial support for medical emergencies, natural calamities, and other crises, ensuring relief reaches families in distress.
CMRF officer-in-charge Sagar Pandey said under the guidance and supervision of chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, there was a consistent disbursal pattern highlighting the state's commitment to social security. "Every rupee spent is directly reaching those who need it the most," he said.
The fund is supported by contributions from citizens as well as budgetary allocations. The official reiterated appeal for more donations to strengthen its outreach.
The CMRF assistance typically covers treatment for serious ailments such as cancer, heart surgeries, kidney transplant, liver transplant, neurosurgeries, and other life-saving medical procedures.
