Jennifer in Indian team for South Asian Youth TT meet

Nagpur: Jennifer Varghese will represent India in the South Asian Youth table tennis championship scheduled at Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh from May 14 to 17. The Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) declared the Indian team for the four-day meet.
In March last year, the 14-year-old Jennifer had a dream international debut when the city paddler brought home a gold and a silver medal from the World TT Youth Contender in Tunis.
Since her debut at Tunis, Jennifer won six international titles and looks forward to win more medals for the country.
In a chat with TOI Jennifer said, “I am very happy for getting yet another chance to represent India. I look forward to the championship. I had a good outing during South Asian championship in the sub-junior category in Maldives and I aim to get similar result in the Youth section in Arunachal Pradesh.”
In Maldives, Jennifer had won a total of three gold medals when she emerged supreme in the individual, doubles and team section.
