Nagpur: Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee chief Nana Patole said his party’s legal cell is looking into the tweet by BJP’s Chitra Wagh which targets him with a video clip.
Patole said, “Our legal cell is looking into the links and from where it has come. Such politics, where personal attacks are made, has never been seen in Maharashtra. I will not like to comment any further on this.”
The Sakoli MLA said that in the past too he has been targetted for political reasons.
“They burned my effigies following an incident which happened in Bhandara,” he said. The senior Congress neta was referring to a viral video clip in which he was heard talking about a man named “Modi”. BJP claimed that it was PM Narendra Modi, while Patole said it was a local goon. Later, a man came forward and said he is referred to as Modi in his village.
“After that the opposition had nothing more to say,” said Patole and added, “Here also we will get all the information through our legal cell and proceed.
