NAGPUR: At a press conference held to announce his filmmaking

workshop

in the city, Bollywood filmmaker hailing from

Nagpur

Milind Ukey, says that he plans to give it back to the city by contributing in guiding and mentoring aspiring filmmakers.

Ukey’s workshop started on July 14 and will go on till July 20. It has been organized by

Ukey Academy

of filmmaking in collaboration with the Up Skill Center, started at the premises of the City Gallery, Ram Nagar. The

This was Ukey’s second workshop in the city. He conducted the first workshop with students of Jai Bai Chowdari High School, Sadar in October last year.

He confirms that he will conduct another workshop in October, again in association with The City Gallery, and is planning to start his own permanent filmmaking school soon within a span of three years.

The director, an alumni of FTII, who has been an associate director for Sanjay Leela Bhansali for five years, dealt with topics such as film-writing, dramaturgy, direction, production, post-production, marketing and more, in the current workshop. Post-workshop, Ukey assured that he will try to guide the students at all levels and try to market their work.

Ukey said he will be shortly shooting for his next

commercial film

in Nagpur itself.
