Mumbra: Thane GRP and RPF personnel's swift action led to the successful delivery of a baby girl after a pregnant woman experienced labour pains whilst travelling on a suburban train on Friday evening.Officials reported that the emergency chain of a CSMT-bound fast local was activated at platform 4 of Mumbra station around 5:40 pm. A police team, comprising a PSI and women constables, promptly investigated the chain-pulling incident.They discovered Hina Khatun Mohammad Tauqir (30), from Baneli village in Titwala (East), experiencing intense labour pain in the ladies' compartment. Fellow female passengers assisted in moving her safely towards the compartment entrance, according to police sources.Understanding the critical situation, railway authorities swiftly arranged an auto-rickshaw. Hina, along with her husband Mohammad Taokir Mohammad Jahagir Sheikh (35), was transported to TMC Hospital in MM Valley area, Mumbra, officials confirmed.The hospital staff attended to her at 6:10 pm and commenced treatment straightaway. The delivery was successful, with positive health reports for both mother and child.
