after an unidentified person hurled a

stone

in her direction between Mumbra and Kalwa stations on Thursday. The stone, which was almost the size of a cricket ball, and the woman had to be hospitalized briefly.
Kalyan resident Priya Thakur, had boarded a packed second class ladies coach of a CST-bound

train

at Mumbra to reach her workplace at Kurla.
Near Parsik tunnel, a stone flew towards her, causing deep injury on the head.The stone then rolled down and lightly bounced off her friend who was standing close by.
A railway official said that Thakur, a receptionist, had refused to lodge a complaint.
