On the run in theft case, accused held after 19 years
Mumbai: Khar Police recently arrested an accused who was on the run for 19 years. Police said Anil Shodha, 40, was booked in a case of theft in 2007. After being released on bail, Shodha stopped attending hearings at the Bandra court. The court then proclaimed him an absconder and directed the police to track him down.
A Khar police surveillance squad laid a trap and nabbed Shodha from Bandra East. He was produced before the court.
